This pre-amp really fits in nicely with my Aiyima A70! It's isn't in the way of the amp itself. I like that it has bass and treble controls. Very nice unit for the price!
The original 6ag5 tube was harsh in the first day. Now it is better but not perfect.
I changed the left and right channel opamps from ne5532p to opa2211, and the sound became better, more relaxed , and with less sibilance.
6A2 tube sounded warmer than 6ag5, and is a good choice.
I did not like 6k4 tube on this preamp because the sound was "veiled"(with loss of detail).
Overall cleaner and more accurate than my previous preamp (fx audio tube 03 with opa2111kp and 6k4 tube). But the fx audio combination was much warmer sounding.
Good product, but i would probably prefer the treble a little softer (maybe this is the edifiers fault as well).
Bass has excellent control, and it is fast. Bass is not heavy.
Mids are very accurate and uncoloured.
I will see how it will sound after some some days of use. I did not have enough time to listen to it thoroughly.
Probably it will improve with time.
I prefer to decrease 2 clicks to the bass, and 3 clicks to the treble, because it makes for a more relaxing (less forward) overall sound.
It is a good pair to my Zen Air DAC and to Edifier R1280T speakers.
Overall, I recommend it, because it has a clearer sound (with much lesser tube distortion) than Tube 03. But it costs double the prce of fx-audio tube 03.
I got the T1 Pro to go between my "vintage" CD player and my amp. The CD player only has RCA connections so this works perfectly. The tubes do give the music a warm sound which is what I wanted. I definitely recommend this product.
Setup with two A07 max mono blocks. Convenient preamp for price!
Sounds really nice as pre to a07 max. Interested in tube rolling, and although you supply a list of compatible tubes I am meeting with blank looks from well established suppliers.
